Sister Julienne and sister Therese Y attended the ordination to the priesthood of Matus

We had the joy of attending a Mass of Ordination to the priesthood of Matus Meleg by Rev. Alan Williams S.M. Bishop of Brentwood.

The occasions gathered a big number of priests, parishioners and young families to pray for Matus who was born into a very Christian family in Slovenia.

With his brother, he studdied in England where they met Fr. Francis Coveney P.P. in Our Lady of Grace Parish, Chingford where they were offered hospitality and support. His brother returned to Slovenia where he married but Matus felt a calling to the priesthood and decided to remain. He continued his studies in the Seminary and chose to celebrate his ordation in this beautiful Church where he had received the support he needed.

He was surrounded by his family who travelled for the wonderful occasion. We rejoice with Matus and continue to pray for him, his mission and especially for more vocations.
